"The team at Portugal Green Walks are an absolute pleasure to deal with. They know Northern Portugal like no other DMC I know and they live and breathe the outdoors.
They are passionate about sustainability and genuine engagement with local communities in the area."
Mark Wright, The Adventure Connection

Walking & cycling
Adventure and activity tours for FITs and small groups who get truly off the beaten track with hands-on, authentic experiences. Destinations include the UNESCO Douro wine region and Côa Valley, Peneda-Gerês National Park and the Portuguese Camino de Santiago pilgrim route.
Portugal Green Walks was established to allow visitors to explore the countryside and Portuguese heritage through slow, responsible travel. These hidden treasures provide an immersive cultural and educational experience.
Using extensive local knowledge and a wide network of contacts, tours are designed around genuine contact with local people and benefit communities as well as protecting the environment. Great care is taken of the logistics, including 24-hour emergency support, detailed route information, accommodation and luggage transfers, leaving clients free to enjoy the experience and leave their cares behind.
Founder and CEO, Paulo re-trained from a successful 20 year career in IT and created his first nature tourism company in 2005, establishing Portugal Green Walks in 2012. A leader in his field, he is regularly invited to speak about outdoor adventure tourism at national events and universities. You’ll love his smile!
