Using their own camps, lodges and hotels, ATWAV can operate complete tours and arrange all ground-handling for groups or tailor-mades.
WHEN
Started 1995
It was all started by David Guthrie in Saadani NP. He then opened a second camp in the Selous; followed by The Zanzibari - a boutique hotel on Zanzibar Island. The natural world
David’s passion for wildlife led him to Tanzania in 1990 and he has been there ever since. He is well known for ground-breaking work on elephant conservation, anti-poaching as well as various health initiatives to benefit local communities such as ‘Doctors on Safari’ and more..

David Guthrie, a Brit, and Masoud “Masa” Kilanga, a Tanzanian, are at the very heart of the operation. David’s innovative ideas are put into practice by Masa’s amazing engineering skill. David’s wife Tara runs the marketing and office backup from the UK.
