They also work very closely with elephant camps and sanctuaries to ensure that the welfare of elephants comes before profit. In August 2020, trunk were one of the first operators in Thailand to be accredited by the Safety & Health Administration for their handling of travel during the pandemic

Trunk firmly believe that responsible, ethical and cultural tourism is the direction that travel is heading. 2019 (and prior...)
Trunk was established in January 2019 as an offshoot of The Bamboo Project - which the company founder established in 2013. The Bamboo Project ran ethical tours for volunteers and travellers.

Founder Steve Williams has over 12 years operational experience and wholly understands the needs and expectations of partners and guests. Behind him proudly stands an experienced team of local experts, each as passionate about Thailand and Southeast Asia as Steve.
