Strategic planning and goal setting come very naturally to Mark, but he firmly believes that everything in business starts with understanding the needs and motivation of the customer.
During his long career, Mark has developed several market leading products, created new brands and run several companies from start-up to sale. He has travelled all over the world, has a passion for nature and the outdoors and a strong belief in responsible tourism.
The world is full of extraordinary places and we encourage anyone to travel the world. But tourism can destroy the beauty, as well as future income for countries, if it’s not managed properly for the benefit of future travellers.

Lucy has over 20 years senior marketing experience, from managing global consumer brands at top advertising agencies in London and Amsterdam, to establishing small B2B businesses on a budget.
She knows just how to get into the mindset of a target audience and communicate in a way that is relevant and engaging to them.
She is also a passionate lifelong traveller. She has visited over 90 countries over four continents and now sees the world through new eyes with her two adventure-loving small children in tow.
Miskola hails from Tajikistan and has always been passionate about travel. In 2012 she founded a DMC with a mission to showcase her home country to curious overseas travellers. In 2020, to expand her knowledge, she moved to London to study International Tourism and Hospitality Management.
Miskola understands the challenges faced by DMCs when approaching the UK market. She also appreciates what tour operators need from a reliable local partner. This combined knowledge makes her a great addition to The Adventure Connection team. Plus she is always smiling!

Amanda has worked in the travel industry for almost 20 years and is experienced in sales and product development. Having travelled to all seven continents and almost 60 countries she has a wide range of experiential and destination knowledge, although her main specialisation is Latin America. This led her to a two year stint, working for local DMCs in the Andean city of Cusco, Peru.
Amanda's main passion is exploring the great outdoors and she is always willing to try new adventures such as kayaking, zip lining, via ferrata, SUP-ing ... Her iconic bucket list treks include the Inca Trail (and almost every main trail near Cusco!), Mt Kinabalu and Everest Base Camp.
Gemma has been working in the travel industry for 25+ years! During her career she has been employed in sales and product roles for leading UK tour operators in both the luxury and experiential travel sectors.
She brings with her extensive product and destination knowledge, plus a thorough understanding of what UK Tour operators are looking for and how to approach them. She is also a skilled copywriter with the ability to create engaging marketing content.
Gemma is passionate about sustainable travel and believes that meaningful travel can, and should, have a positive impact. She has recently completed the GSTC Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism.

Simona (Simi) is an ACCA qualified chartered accountant with over 15 years of accounting experience in the UK and abroad, across a variety of sectors. She loves getting into the detail of what makes a company tick and how the numbers add up, but she also loves working with clients, partners and suppliers to ensure the finance processes are working smoothly for all!
Apart from working with numbers, Simi is a keen traveller and loves discovering new travel experiences - from desert camping and wadi bashing in the middle east deserts to snorkelling in the Maldives and discovering new experiences in Istanbul.
She was born in Prague, Czech Republic but has spent most of her life either in the UK or the Middle East where she lived in Dubai for seven years or in the US, where she spent some time living in Austin, Texas.
Outside of work, Simi’s other passions are her two young children and a Labrador Vizsla cross dog. Her children have travelled to more countries than their ages and even the dog enjoys overseas trips!
Born and raised in Bulgaria, Atanas has spent the last 8 years working for international tour operators and local DMCs operating in the Balkans - as a tour leader, product manager and sales specialist. Having passed through the various facets of the travel industry, he knows very well what DMCs, tour operators, and agents need to be successful, and understands the challenges each of the sides faces.
Atanas is passionate about adventure travel, outdoor sports, and the Balkans, which he finds to be a region with a lot of untapped potential for authentic travel experiences. In his free time, he enjoys guiding hiking groups in Bulgaria and the neighbouring countries, where he always finds new pieces of history, local human stories and landscapes to explore.
To me adventure travel is about exploring the world with like-minded people. It is what combines best my love for the outdoors, history and cultural discovery.
