Ashanti African Tours is a well-established DMC known for delivering responsible, immersive adventures across West Africa, with a strong reputation for ethical travel and sustainable development.

 

In 2024, the Ashanti team approached us to improve their online presence and marketing activity - something they recognised as important but kept slipping down their to-do list. Our proposed strategy, including a clear marketing plan, monthly content calendar, regular social media posts, a monthly blog, and bi-monthly newsletters, was quickly approved.

Objectives

  • Develop a clear, strategic marketing plan tailored to their brand identity and target audience

  • Create a structured content calendar to deliver engaging, on-brand content across social media, blogs and newsletters - authentically reflecting the organisation’s values and voice

  • Strengthen and enhance the client’s overall online presence

  • Increase brand visibility and grow social media reach and engagement

Strategy

  • Define and finalise Ashanti’s five core brand messages 

  • Develop a clear project timeline detailing all key tasks, deadlines, and assigned responsibilities

  • Produce a diverse range of social media content tailored to both B2B and B2C audiences

  • Distribute a consumer-facing newsletter every two months

  • Research, write, and publish one blog post per month, with the goal of increasing website traffic, improving SEO, and engaging prospective travellers

  • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics across social media, blog performance, and newsletter engagement

Execution

We worked collaboratively with the client throughout the project, ensuring all content aligned with their brand values and received full approval before publication.

 

By maintaining a consistent content schedule we kept the audience engaged across platforms.

 

As a result, we've seen steady organic growth in social media metrics, a rise in newsletter subscribers with consistently strong open rates and increased blog engagement driving more traffic to the website.
