Happy Trails Asia operate tours throughout Indonesia and Malaysia from their headquarters in Bali and regional offices in Sumatra, Java, Flores, Kuala Lumpur and Borneo. They can also arrange tours in Singapore and Brunei.

Happy Trails offer sustainable soft adventure tours for FITs and groups. Itineraries focus on authentic experiences that immerse clients in the culture and nature of the region, whilst benefiting local communities, such as a private blessing ceremony in Bali, a homestay with a local family or a sailing journey around the archipelago aboard a traditional phinisi yacht.

WHEN

Since 2003

Happy Trails was founded in 2003 by a Dutch Tour Leader and his Indonesian wife. In 2008 the company expanded into Malaysia and Borneo and now offer unique trips across four countries.

Koen Ruisch

Dutch born CEO Koen travelled the world from a young age and joined a management traineeship in Bali over ten years ago. He immediately fell in love with the island and the region which he has been fortunate to call home. He enjoys exploring the lesser-known destinations within Asia.
