They possess a deep and passionate understanding of this beautiful Himalayan Kingdom - its cultures, customs and people - as well as a full understanding of western service standards. Their service is uniquely personal and you will deal directly with the owners, Amrit and Kate Ale.

Mark Wright, The Adventure Connection

Kathmandu, Nepal

Based in Kathmandu, Himalayan Quests offers treks, tours, experiential learning and educational programmes throughout Nepal.

Expert trekking and more...

Himalayan Quests curate bespoke, low volume, low impact travel experiences for FITs and small groups. Their authentic adventures connect visitors to the people and places of Nepal via a wide range of treks suitable for all abilities, immersive cultural and heritage tours and local jungle experiences in the national parks.

Since 2009

Established in 2009 by Amrit and Kate Ale, Himalayan Quests was born out of a desire to share the joys of Amrit’s home country in a deeply personal, connected and socially responsible manner.

Low impact tourism

A genuine unfailing commitment to responsible tourism sets Himalayan Quests apart. Its mission is to travel in a way that conserves the areas they visit and bring positive benefits to local people. They only partner with providers who have a similar desire to keep their country pristine and true to its traditions. They give back to rural communities through their not-for-profit sister organisation - Himalayan Quests Foundation.
