Who

Rolando Campos, Founder of Chayote Lodge, has over 30 years in Costa Rica’s tourism industry, including DMC and hotel leadership. A Tourism Studies graduate and sustainability advocate, he has served on national tourism boards. He created Chayote Lodge to share the culture, nature and tranquility of his homeland, offering travellers an authentic highland experience deeply connected to nature.

When

Chayote Lodge was founded over a decade ago as a small, family-inspired project rooted in Costa Rica’s coffee-growing highlands. Over the years, it has evolved into a refined boutique lodge, thoughtfully expanding its facilities and experiences while staying true to its cultural roots and commitment to sustainability. Today, Chayote Lodge is recognised for offering an authentic, nature-connected retreat that reflects the spirit and traditions of rural Costa Rica.
