We're proud to be a Certified B Corporation

Over the last 10 years, The Adventure Connection has been built on one simple idea: that travel done properly benefits everyone it touches, from the communities and wildlife in the destination, to the tour operators and travellers who experience it. Becoming a Certified B Corporation makes that commitment official.

We've joined a global community of over 10,000 businesses that meet verified standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency, and use business as a force for good.

What being a B Corp actually means

B Corp certification isn't a marketing badge. It's a rigorous, independently verified assessment of how a business treats its workers, customers, suppliers, community and the environment, covering everything from governance and supplier relationships to staff wellbeing and environmental impact.

To qualify, a company must score at least 80 points on the B Impact Assessment out of a possible 200, and commit to maintaining that standard through recertification every three years. We're pleased to say we achieved 83.6 point, putting us ahead of the certification threshold.

Why it matters for a business like ours

We sit in a slightly unusual position in the travel trade. We don't sell holidays directly to travellers, we represent DMCs and properties and connect them with tour operators. That means our impact isn't just about how we run our own office, it's about the standards we hold our partners to and the deals we help bring together.

Being a B Corp gives us a framework to make sure that responsibility runs right through our work, not just the destinations and DMCs we choose to represent, but how we support them, the trips we run, and the advice we give tour operators looking to build responsible itineraries.

Our commitment in action

This isn't a certificate that goes up on the wall and gets forgotten. It shapes how we work day to day:

  • Responsible partner selection. We only take on DMCs and properties whose values align with our own, with a genuine commitment to sustainable and community-led tourism.

  • Fam Trip Impact Reports. Every Familiarisation Trip we run starts with an Impact Report, so that tour operators that travel can see exactly what a destination and suppliers delivers for local communities and the environment, not just what the itinerary looks like on paper. By doing this we aim to ensure that positive impact is built into tour operator itineraries from the earliest planning stages

  • Ongoing accountability. Recertifying every three years means our practices are checked against B Lab's evolving standards, not just assessed once and left alone.

Good company

We're part of a growing UK and global movement of B Corps across travel and beyond, businesses that believe commercial success and positive impact aren't in competition with each other.

If you're a tour operator looking for DMC partners who share that thinking, or a DMC wanting to work with a representation partner that holds itself to the same standard it expects of you, we'd love to hear from you.
