Founded in the 1990s, Temple Point was transformed after joining the Langer family in the early 2000s. In 2017, Jan Langer became Director, and by 2021 a new creative, purpose-driven team reimagined it as a hub for connection, curiosity, and emotion — blending design, sustainability, and cultural immersion with a Solar Punk vision. Privately owned and run on-site, the team is passionate about sharing Watamu’s magic.

Originally from Elburgon in Nakuru, Eunice Gichora brings five years of heartfelt hospitality experience to Temple Point. With a background in customer relations, she’s known for her warm communication, attentive care, and calm, solutions-focused approach. Passionate about connecting with people, she helps guests create unforgettable moments — making every escape or celebration feel effortless and personal.

Temple Point Resort is dedicated to responsible tourism through strong community partnerships and environmental stewardship.

All of the property's food and materials are sourced from nearby farmers, fishermen and artisans to reduce imports and strengthen the local economy. Working closely with conservation organisations, we support coral reef and sea turtle protection, mangrove restoration as well as waste management initiatives.
